Burr Oak farms will once again be raising chickens. We stopped a few years ago because it was getting to be too much work along with everything else but I guess we forgot how much we hate chasing chickens so we are going to do it again - maybe only about a hundred or so this year.

These birds eat all kinds of stuff that factory raised birds never see and the flavor of our 3 ½ to 5 lb birds bears it out. They get greens from weeding the garden along with the usual ration of oats and ground corn. Whatever else walks or crawls thru the chicken yard is fair game too but I don’t want to get into endless chicken stories.

Book your order by May, they should be ready in July or early August.
